Fall jewel tones & black preferred. Semi-formal attire.
Honestly, we have no idea. It could snow, it could rain, or there could be a heat wave. October is unpredictable.
We will be putting some money towards drinks for the night, meaning that once we hit that limit, it will be a cash bar! And you'll likely need actual cash, as the wifi & service isn't too great in the middle of the VT woods, so their credit card reader might not work.
If you RSVP to stay on-site in one of the cabins, you can venmo Tekla Van Hoven (mother of the bride) @Tekla-VanHoven in advance or scan a QR code when you arrive to pay. Remember, the cabins are $50 per person for the weekend.
There are plenty of places on the grounds that have electricity, so lot's of places to charge your phone, get ready etc. There are several bathrooms in the ecolodge, the dining hall where the reception will be, and elsewhere, including a big bath house with showers (indoor & outdoor), toilets, mirrors, outlets, etc. near all the cabins.
Linnea will be emailing everyone two weeks prior to the wedding with your cabin assignment, what beds there will be so you know what bedding to pack (if you are able to bring it), who is in your cabin, and how to pay. All of this information will also be at the venue when you arrive in case you forget to check your email.
We will have back up of all the following things (especially for people who are flying and can't pack all these things), but we recommend packing them as well! - Bedding: sheets, blankets, and pillows! There a range of different bed sizes, but we recommend bring twin sheets for everyone in your party. Linnea will let you know what size you should bring for blankets, as well as what the configuration of your cabin will be, about two weeks beforehand, but you can hit them up whenever if you'd like to know earlier. If you're driving, bring lots! We have no idea what the weather will be. Other things we recommend packing: - towel - bug spray - flashlight - water bottle - cash for bar - warm clothes for night
11 a.m. on Sunday, October 8th.
- no glass outside the dining hall, so if you're BYOB for the rehearsal, please bring cans & plastic! - there is one designated spot for smoking and for campfires - don't bring food & super fragrant things into the cabins, but there will be other places to store these things - please don't light anything on fire? - no fireworks - no guns - no pets :(
We ask that all guests be unplugged and present during the ceremony. We want to give our photographer the best opportunity to get unobstructed photos of us and everyone sharing this memorable day with us.
Not great! There is wifi in the dining hall and ecolodge, but just be prepped that you'll likely be a bit off-grid.
Unfortunately dogs and all pets are not allowed on site. If we can't bring ours sadly we can't let y'all bring yours.
Well, that largely depends on the cryptid that is party to the attack. Consult Woodchuck the camp's security force for a list of contingency plans on what to do in the case of an encounter with a ghoul, goblin, or other creature ignored by mainstream science! his email is Woodchuckgitsem@gmail.com
