Derek and I knew of one another but it was not until one of my bridesmaids (emmy) put a chip in my ear telling me he may be interested. So, the next day I added him on snapchat. He, ofcourse, added me back. A week later he asked me on a date and I shuffled through every excuse I could use to say no. BUT then he just asked about a different day. I said yes. We met at the Leibys parking lot and we went to red robin in Hamburg (4/7/18). The next day... he left for the police academy. I did not get to talk to him for 2 weeks. Finally he got to have his phone and come home! He greeted me with a kiss and we went off to eat sushi. That night I became his girlfriend!! (4/28/18). Fast forward 6 months. Derek graduates the academy! Yay! 1 year later we started renting a home! A small half a double right next to the auto shop. A week later we get Elsa! Another year later in October we go to the finger lakes and get ENGAGED (10/6/20)!!! Elsa wouldnt be Elsa without her sister. So we got her Anna (12/2/20)!!! June 2021 we closed on our very first home together!
