Josh and Lauren met while attending physical therapy school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Josh and Lauren got to know each other the first year of school through mutual friends and time spent together in class. The friendship grew until one night, while out with classmates, the infamous song “Fishing in The Dark” started playing, Josh and Lauren started to dance, and the rest was history. Josh and Lauren dated throughout physical therapy school, enjoying the time spent together in Omaha, working towards their career goals, while juggling the challenges of long distance during clinical rotations. They finally had the chance to share in their last clinical rotation together in the Dominican Republic where they practiced physical therapy together and loved exploring a new culture before heading back to Omaha for graduation. Finally physical therapists, Josh and Lauren started travel physical therapy together which took them exploring all across the country including Washington, California, Maine, and Florida. Josh and Lauren have enjoyed building their relationship while traveling to new cities, hitting the trails on countless hikes, and starting their careers as physical therapists.

While in Washington for their first travel physical therapy contracts, Josh planned a trip to the San Juan Islands to celebrate Lauren’s birthday. After time spent exploring beautiful Orcas Island, Lauren and Josh made their way to the top of Mt. Constitution, the highest point on the islands. There, they found a quiet cliff overlooking the water and Josh popped the question!
