Sometime in August 2020, Linh met Jenn through a mutual friend and bonded over the foodie world. During their first dinner, upon meeting and talking for only a few minutes the conversation led to this: Jenn: You're single!? (Pulls out her phone) What do you think of this guy? Linh: Oh he's cute. But I'm not interested in dating anyone at this time. Or ever really... Jenn: Oh ok. Puts away her phone... A few days later... Jenn: Hey! Want to meet up with a few foodie friends at Eggies in Liberty Station on Labor Day? Linh: Ok sure. I have my daughter. Can I bring her? Jenn: Sure! The day before... Jenn: Hey! You're going for sure right? Linh: Yes! I said I was going. See you there! At Eggies... Jenn: This is my friend Mike. Linh: Hi Mike! After brunch... Linh: Hey, was that the guy that you showed me a picture of? Jenn: Ha ha...yes. Later on... Linh begins to stalk Mike's IG page. She DMs him... Linh: Hey, not sure what Jenn is planning but I am just looking to be friends. Mike: Oh yes totally. Linh: So what are you doing tomorrow after work? The rest is history...

MET 9/7/2020 (COVID) Linh still remembers the intense gaze of Mike's eyes while wearing his mask. They bonded over newly purchased bicycles. FIRST DATE 9/26/2020 Hiking at Annie's Canyon but arriving and realizing it was still closed due to Covid. Had brunch at Claire's on Cedros. PLANS OF MARRIAGE 12/25/23 Mike gave Linh a ring on Christmas Day in hopes of her picking out her own engagement ring. They started the ring design journey on 2/10/24 at David Levi and Sons. OFFICIALLY PROPOSED 3/17/24 Mike proposed in front of his family while celebrating his nephew's birthday (Mathieu). Everyone was surprised and so happy for the couple!
