The man, the myth, the legend! Dr. Martin and Dan became close friends while working as camp counselors at Camp Horizons in Harrisonburg, Virginia. They have traveled the world together and created countless memories that they may or may not remember. Steve has always been their for Dan during the brightest of times and the darkest of times over the last 17 year. Their crazy antics have produced some of the most unbelievable stories one can imagine, and they are both happy to still be alive to share those stories with their friends and family. Steve has been the brother that Dan has always wanted. No matter what the situation is, they have always been there for each other and always will be.

Jef Walls

Jef and Dan became friends while growing up in their hometown of Hartford, Michigan. They have traveled around the country together, and even spent a summer working at Camp horizons together. Jef is the reason that Dan discovered Camp Horizons and will forever be grateful for this. They have experienced countless life events together, and still talk on a weekly basis.

Brad Hoekstra

Groomsman

Brad and Dan became close friends when Dan started teaching at River Valley in 2010. Dan was a new 2nd grade teacher and Brad was a veteran 4th grade teacher. They quickly became friends as they both share a huge love of sports and coaching. They have coached football together, and now are grade level teaching partners (Team Awesome) at Three Oaks Elementary. Dan struggled with asking Brad to be a Groomsman because of Brad's intense love of the University of Michigan, but their friendship remained strong and Brad accepted the invitation.
