Hawick, which is about a 5-10 min from the venue.

I have a passport. Do I need anything else?

Answer

Please make sure that your passport does not expire within 6 months of depature. This means that your passport should be valid until at least March, 2026. You also need an ETA, which is similar to a visa. You can apply online with the UK government. Please allow 3 business days for approval.

Do I need to book a specific hotel?

Answer

No, you are welcome to book any hotel or Airbnb you want! Rooms range from $100-$200+ a night, depending on whether you want a hotel, an apartment, or a bed and breakfast. Any other travel tip?

Answer

While not required, I highly recommend a travel credit card with no foreign transaction fees and travel insurance. Both can be helpful to avoid unexpected ATM fees and purchasing separate travel insurance.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Scotland in October is usually a high of 55°F and a low of 43°F, with rain occuring about a third of the days. We are currently planning an outdoor ceremony, but our venue does have an indoor hall if needed. Umbrellas are provided at the venue in the event of rain during our wedding.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home.
