Zach and I met during an EMS shift together in the back of LifeStar 2. It was probably one of the craziest shifts the two of us have ever had: a birth, a gunshot wound, and a head trauma were just a few of the complaints we saw that day! Needless to say, he stole my heart on that shift... and now I am about to steal his last name!

After we worked our shift together, I couldn't figure out how to reach out to Zach to get his number. Then, the perfect idea hit me. I decided to tell him a little white lie! Zach just so happened to work the day after me on the same truck, and I concocted the perfect plan: I reached out to him to see if he had seen my "lost" stethoscope in the back of the truck - even though my "lost" stethoscope was sitting right beside me on my bed. So yes, our courtship started with a white lie... but I would say it was a necessary evil!
