In light of COVID-19, we want to let you know that our wedding is still happening on Saturday, September 5th. If you’re no longer able to attend, we completely understand. You can update your RSVP anytime on our site, and we wish you health and safety during this time. During the wedding we will be observing current social distancing and safety guidelines. Luckily we had always planned for a small, intimate wedding so there will be less than 50 guests. Our church has a capacity of 400 people so we will be under 25% capacity. Our reception venue is a private event space with a large outdoor rooftop. Dinner will be served outside and tables will be spaced accordingly. All staff will be wearing masks and we will be providing hand sanitizer for everyone. We will also be providing red, yellow, and green wristbands that you can wear to show your comfort level in interacting with other guests. Our neighborhood is a safe socially conscious area in Brooklyn. Based on the data and guidelines released by New York, the city's coronavirus numbers continue to trend downward with new case numbers remaining low. Moving forward with the wedding was something we thought long and hard about and ultimately we feel that we can safely celebrate and hope to see you there.
Our love story started at West Chester University's Homecoming. Flirtatious looks were exchanged across the party and sparks flew. After a few whirlwind weekends that included an amazing Halloween in Philly and being stranded together through Hurricane Sandy a decision had to be made. Lindsey was about to move to South Florida for the next few months for work so we had to decide if we were willing to do long distance. We decided to go for it, and while it was hard at the time it made our relationship stronger.
After that, we made a home in Andy's hometown of Harrisburg with the coolest dog ever, Duke a.k.a Doodle. Many wonderful years were spent in that house, but we are both adventurous and ambitious people, and that has led us to now calling New York City home.
Andy popped the question in Ocean City, Maryland. Lindsey's family has spent nearly every summer on that beach and it is her favorite place in the world, especially now! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Brooklyn!
