What can I expect for the day of the wedding?

Answer

We’ll be saying “I do” in Kill Devil Hills, NC next fall! We have rented a beautiful beach house, The Constellation, for the week. Our ceremony will take place on the beach and our reception will take place in the backyard of the house.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve rented a beach house for the week where a few close family and friends will be staying. For everyone else, there are plenty of nearby options — hotels, rentals, and Airbnbs within minutes of the house. We recommend booking early, as fall is still a popular time in the Outer Banks. We will update the travel tab with suggestions soon!

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes and no — here’s how it works: During the week: Kids are absolutely welcome at all casual gatherings, meals, and daytime fun! Bring them along to enjoy the beach and the festivities for the length of your stay. For the wedding ceremony and reception: We kindly ask that this part of the celebration be adults-only so we can keep the evening relaxed and romantic.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place right on the beach, so think “coastal elegant!” For women: Flowy maxi or midi dresses or a elegant jumpsuit. Wedges, block heels, or sandals are perfect (no stilettos — they sink in the sand & grass!). For men: Lightweight dress pants or chinos with a button-up or linen shirt. Jackets are optional but look great in photos. Evenings can be breezy in October, so bring a light wrap or jacket.

What’s the weather like in October?

Answer

Fall in the Outer Banks is gorgeous — sunny days, mild temps, and cool ocean breezes. Expect daytime highs in the 70s and evenings in the 60s. It’s the perfect mix of warm and cozy!

Answer

We’ll be spending the week leading up to the wedding relaxing in Kill Devil Hills — enjoying beach days, local restaurants, and time with family and friends. Join for as much or as little as you’d like!

Is there parking at the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, but it is limited. We have rented a shuttle to pick up and drop off guests to help minimize driving.
