FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lindsey Bott and Triston Matthews
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

While we don’t want anyone to feel the need to buy a new outfit, we’d love for everyone to dress their best for our ceremony. Garden party or cocktail attire is encouraged- polished and dressy, but gowns and tuxes aren’t necessary. Think suits, dress shirts with slacks, cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. Bright, wildflower-inspired colours are encouraged- yellows🌼 , purples🪻, oranges🌷, pinks🌸, blues🫐, greens 🌿, etc... but most importantly, wear something that makes you feel great. We’re just happy to celebrate with you. For the rest of the weekend, dressy casual is perfect: summer dresses, button-ups, and slacks. Be sure to bring some comfy clothes for around the fire pit and the evening hours.

Question

What to pack?

Answer

For additional dress code details, please check out the “Schedule” tab on the website. In short: Dress casual for most of the weekend. ‘Garden party meats cocktail hour’ for the ceremony. As for packing: bring everything you’d normally want for a cozy weekend away. We’ve got all meals covered, and you do not need to bring any camping gear 😉- real beds, real bathrooms, and real comfort are all provided (we promise). There is a sauna, tubs, and fire pits, as well as optional á la carte activities (more details to come) so be sure to pack clothes fit for those activities as well!

Question

Accomodation?

Answer

We've got you covered. Before anyone panics- this is glamping, not camping. 😉 You’ll be staying in a mix of A-frame cabins, glamping domes, and luxury tents, all set up for you upon arrival. Yes, there are real beds. Yes, there are real bathrooms. And yes, the venue is absolutely gorgeous.

Question

What to do?

Answer

On Friday evening and Saturday during the day, there will be some time to enjoy the sauna, hot/ cold circuit, and optional (á la carte) additions such as horse back riding, a spa with massages and facials, guided hiking/ nature experiences, and down time to enjoy the resort.

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

We don’t have a traditional registry. Truly, having you travel all the way to Bella Coola to celebrate with us is more than generous enough. That said, if you would like to contribute, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund (you’ll find it under the “Registry” tab on this website). No pressure at all- your presence for the weekend means everything to us.

Question

Cell-service?

Answer

Cell service is limited on one section of the drive to Bella Coola, so we recommend downloading maps and playlists ahead of time. Once at the resort, there will be cell service and Wi-Fi, though it may be limited compared to what we're used to. We encourage everyone to unplug a little, soak up the scenery, and enjoy a weekend away- but you won’t be completely off the grid. For our ceremony and wedding evening, we will ask everyone to have their phones off and away. 📱🙅🏻‍♀️

Question

Arriving Late/ Leaving Early?

Answer

We kindly ask that everyone plan to arrive by early afternoon on Friday so we can kick off the weekend together. If you’re flying, a shuttle will be provided from the airport to the lodge. If you’re driving, please plan your route accordingly to ensure you arrive on time. We understand that travel can be complicated- if you have unique circumstances, feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to help. Departure will be around 12 on Sunday- you can leave any time after breakfast if you're driving.
