Who would have thought that a prom date in 2012 would have ended up like this? Lindsey and Trent met in high school calculus and ended up going to senior prom together after a series of unfortunate (fortunate) events with other potential prom dates. We got to know each other over the coming months prior to attending UF (Go Gators!!!) and grew even closer freshman year as we found our friends and our way. Trent and Linds continued on in undergrad with a crew of fantastic friends, and then as life took us different directions for grad school and work, we were lucky enough to find friends that weren’t opposed to being our family (shout out Moores and Monroes). We’ve had a team of people, both friends and family, encourage, support, pray for, and mentor us, as we navigated (both thriving and surviving) 4 years of long distance in Greenville, SC and Pensacola, FL. Considering the tradition of Ina chaos, it wouldn’t have been a true Ina family vacation if Trent’s proposal in Aspen, CO didn’t include a lost/stolen ring and plans in disarray. Eventually, we made it to the top of the mountain with the ring, an amazing view, and a surprise entrance from the Register side of the family to seal the deal. The timeline of Covid, medical school match/graduation, and blueberry farming, made it difficult to plan a wedding that included all of our loved ones. So, we decided instead to make the most of the situation and couple our love for travel with our special day. Turns out, we’d end up in a place we’d never been, halfway across the country, in the middle of the desert. Trent and Linds tied the knot on March 12th, surrounded by red rocks and immediate family, in Moab, UT. We are thankful to the Lord for that beautiful day, the gift of marriage, and a not so rocky start of our lives together as we move to Wilmington, NC for our next adventure!
