Dear Family and Friends, With heavy hearts, we have decided to postpone our wedding until August 15, 2020, due to venue constraints that arose in regards to the state of Georgia dining room restrictions. We are also wanting to delay the wedding in order to create an experience for our guests and ourselves that is fun, carefree, and not a situation where people have to worry about their health. Our marriage date will be moved to August 15 as well because we want to share that special moment with you all and create the day we always envisioned. The venue, time of the event, and all other details will remain the same. Thank you to everyone who has RSVPed so far and planned on attending our original wedding date; we apologize for any inconvenience, travel expenses, etc. that may arise due to the date change. You will receive a "change of date" card in the mail with a new RSVP deadline. In order to obtain a correct headcount, we are requesting you to please resubmit your RSVP response through the website for August 15, whether it has changed or not, in order for proper planning. Again, thank you for your understanding. This was out of our control. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you soon. Love, Scotty and Lindsey
Scotty: Back when we were both sophomores in high school, I was interested in asking Lindsey out for a date, but I was hesitant to do so before the end of the school year. I figured I would wait a few weeks until summer break began before asking her out to avoid any awkward encounters in class if the date did not go well. I had it all planned out. A few days later, she got antsy and asked me to go fishing with her at a pond in her neighborhood and I excitedly agreed to go. While we were fishing, I asked her if she wanted to go to a movie the next weekend. She said yes. I wanted to go somewhere for lunch then to the movie at 2:00. Again, I had everything all planned out, but when we got to the movie theater, the movie wasn't playing until 6:00. I was nervous that we were about to have a lot of downtime with nothing to do. We ended up playing putt-putt at a sketchy glow in the dark place in the mall and had a blast for hours. In the beginning, my plans did not go exactly right, but it all turned ok because now we are getting married.
