FAQs

We know you may have some questions as you prepare for our big day, so we’ve compiled all the important details here to help make things as smooth as possible. From attire to timing and everything in between, we hope this FAQ page answers any questions you may have. If there’s anything else you need, don’t hesitate to reach out to Lindsey or Scott.
Question

When should I book travel?

Answer

The sooner the better! Petaluma is a sweet little town with lots of wedding venues. To ensure that you get a hotel room, we advise not waiting.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we will only be able to accomodate those specifically listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Lindsey.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to make our special day an adult-only celebration. We hope you can join us for a night of fun and festivities, and we appreciate your understanding!

Question

What time does the wedding start?

Answer

Scott does not like when Lindsey runs late, so the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. Please arrive no later than 3:45 p.m. to grab a refreshment and take your seat.

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors and the reception is under a beautiful white tent! Evenings in Petaluma do get chilly, so we recommend bringing a jacket for the evening. However, if you are dancing hard enough, you should not get cold!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our spring wedding is formal attire. Men should wear a suit and tie or sport coat, and women should wear cocktail or evening dresses. Please do not wear jeans, shorts, or sneakers. We also recommend that women wear block heels or wedges as the ceremony and cocktail hour are on grass. Refrain from wearing shades of white.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Our venue has plenty of parking located in a dirt field. Parking is self-park and there will be parking attendants to assist you in where to park. If you decide to drive to the wedding and get a little too excited at the open bar, please note that you will NOT be able to retrieve your car until the next day at 1:00 p.m. If you are staying at a hotel, we recommend that you Uber to and from the venue. It is only a 20 minute Uber.

Question

Should I pre-book my Uber for after the wedding?

Answer

YESSSSS! We cannot stress this enough. Due to the wedding being in the hills of Petaluma, cell phone reception is spotty (at best). Please plan to pre-book your Uber to pick you up at 10:10 p.m. after the Grand Exit!

Question

Does the ceremony and reception take place at the same location?

Answer

Yes! All wedding day events will be held at Rosewood Events.

Question

Will there be a gap between the ceremony & cocktail hour?

Answer

No! Cocktail hour will start immediately after the ceremony.

Question

What if I can't attend?

Answer

Your presence will be greatly missed! Please fill out our RSVP form on our wedding website and let us know.
