Lindsey and Sam met on Lindsey's first day of work, where her desk was directly across from Sam's. Over the course of a few weeks and then months, they started to build a friendship outside of work. Lindsey cornered Sam and forced him to be her best friend, but little did she know Sam had stronger feelings. Lindsey had a boyfriend though so he kept his mouth shut. For the next 2 years, they hung out often both inside and outside of work; all the while, Sam was stuck in the friendzone. Until one day, Lindsey decided that the man she wanted to be with was also her best friend, and the rest is history.

Lindsey and Sam got engaged on the front porch of their home on May 1, 2020. Sam had one of Lindsey's friends come over and take her on a walk while he set everything up. When they got back from the walk, Sam was waiting on the porch, and told Lindsey that there was a wasp nest in the one corner (there wasn't...) so that when she turned back around he was kneeling with the ring in hand.
