We are finally having a wedding!

Mikelo and I met working together at our local HEB. He claims he subtly pursued me for months, but I never noticed. One night, during the summer of 2013, we were both working cashier shifts, with a few registers between us. During the shift, I looked up and noticed a random Elmo balloon floating at the top of the ceiling, and for some reason I thought it was the funniest thing ever. I saw Mikelo several registers over, and decided to call him on our register phones to discuss the randomness of the Elmo balloon, and we ended up laughing and chatting for several minutes until customers arrived and we had to get back to work. I knew then that he shared my ridiculous sense of humor and that he was someone I wanted to know. From that day forward we began texting, talking on the phone and hanging out with people from work together every chance we got, and he eventually became my best friend and the person I wanted to share everything with. Over the years, we’ve faced several obstacles. He was there for me when things with family got tough and I was there for him when he was working to find himself and the career path he wanted to pursue. Even after being tested, we always found a way through the hard times, and we’ve grown even stronger for them. Now, as I’m writing this, we’ve been together for six years and I can’t imagine my life without him. I guess we have Elmo to thank for that. ;)
