It all started in October 2020. Lindsey and I met at a casual hangout at our friends' apartment. It was one of those low-key nights where no one expects anything significant to happen—just good company, laughter, and snacks. Lindsey and I didn’t know each other at the time, but somehow, amidst the chatter and the music, we ended up in a conversation that neither of us wanted to end. I remember thinking she was incredibly easy to talk to, and I caught myself hanging on to her words. Even though we wouldn’t see each other again for a year, that moment lingered in my mind—just enough to leave an impression. Fast forward to October 2021. A mutual friend of ours was performing at a comedy show in Santa Monica, and both Lindsey and I showed up to support. I didn’t know she’d be there, but when I spotted her in the crowd, I felt that same magnetic pull from a year earlier. We exchanged smiles and a few words, but this time, our story gained momentum. After the show, our friend asked Lindsey if she had her eye on anyone in the group. Without hesitation, she said my name. Our friend passed the message along to me and suggested we all double date on Halloween. Halloween 2021 turned out to be more than just a fun night in costume—it was the night we both realized we’d found someone special. From that moment on, I was determined to make Lindsey a permanent part of my life. For the next couple of months, I pursued her with everything I had, and by New Year’s Eve, we made it official. The countdown to midnight that year was more than just the start of a new year—it was the beginning of our journey together. Ever since, Halloween and New Year’s Eve have held a special place in our hearts. They’re the holidays where we love to dress up, celebrate, and reflect on how our story began. After dating for a year, Lindsey and I took the next step and moved into our first apartment together in West Los Angeles. It was the perfect place for us to continue building our life together. That apartment became our haven, a place where our love deepened and our bond grew stronger. We’ve shared so many milestones there, from lazy Sunday mornings to late-night talks about the future. From that first conversation in 2020 to the life we’ve built together now, every moment has led us here. Lindsey is my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. And as we get ready to walk down the aisle, I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for the journey that brought us together. Over the years, we’ve attended more weddings as guests than we can count, always daydreaming about what our own might look like. And now, it’s finally our turn. We can’t wait to celebrate our love story with you!
