We're not ashamed to admit that we're a dating app couple and are happy to be a Hinge success story.  Junaid "liked" Lindsey first, avoiding the cunningly set thirst trap and instead asking her about books. Lindsey immediately thought he was cute (DUH) and remembers being called to a line on his profile about always looking to grow and be better. We had our first coffee date on September 17th, 2022 because Junaid's a gentleman. Lindsey won him over by suggesting an "indie coffee shop nearby, Starbucks?" but we ended up at a to-this-day favorite, Coffee Joint.

From our first date, it was clear to us both that we were onto something. We bonded over keeping lists of Chicago restaurants to try, reading, and a general weariness of the state of the world. Junaid fell in love with Lindsey's humor, positivity, and her beloved cat Diamond (RIP).  Lindsey fell in love with Junaid's kindness, consistency, and endless "your mom" jokes. To this day, she admires his friendships and the way he shows up for others.

Over our 3+ years together, we've checked off many of those Chicago bars and restaurants from the list and likely added as many, if not more, new ones.  Lindsey got Junaid hooked on travel and we've been to 5 countries and 6 states together. ​ Above all, we've built a life and routine that brings us both a quiet joy: from the daily NYT crossword, to weekly Trader Joe's runs and Botanical Cafe visits, to sharing what we're grateful for each night before bed. It's totally understandable if you read that and yawn, but we both feel lucky to have found someone whose way of life meshes so seamlessly with our own.

We each credit the other with bringing us peace, happiness, and support when we need it most. We can't wait to spend our lives creating a safe space for each other, cheering each other on, and pushing to be better versions of ourselves each day. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
