Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be located at The Elia, 254 N Front St suite 100, Wilmington, NC 28401. Both the ceremony and reception will be held fully indoors in a beautifully decorated, heated venue—perfect for our December celebration. You can enjoy the warmth and holiday ambiance inside! *North Carolina weather is fairly unpredictible this time of year so please plan for warm or cold outside conditions*

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

You are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time (~3:30 PM). Each guest (21+) will be offered a glass of champagne to enjoy upon arrival.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is ample street parking around the venue, two large parking lots a block away: River Place Parking Lot (14 Grace St, Wilmington, NC 28401) + Water Street Parking Deck (210 N Water St, Wilmington, NC 28401) and the local hotels also offer onsite parking as well. The venue is within walking distance from the hotels listed on the website!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be formal attire with a festive, holiday-inspired touch — think timeless elegance with winter magic. Women are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns or formal alternatives in rich, luxurious fabrics (silk, velvet, chiffon, satin). Jewel tones, metallics, and deep neutrals are all beautiful choices. Examples: An emerald green satin gown or a navy pant suit with sparkly accessories. Kindly avoid white or off-white tones, as they are designated for the bride. Men should wear a suit and tie — a festive pocket square or tie is welcome. Examples: A black or a navy suit with a patterned pocket square, or a charcoal suit with a deep green tie.

Question

Is black okay?

Answer

Yes — black is timeless and formal, especially for an evening winter wedding.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, we warmly welcome your plus one to join the celebration! If no plus one is mentioned, we kindly ask that you attend solo so we can accommodate all our guests comfortably.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Our wedding celebration will be an adults-only event, with the exception of immediate family members. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating together!

Question

Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes — please note any dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a professional photographer capturing the day. We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony.
