Welcome to the start of our forever!

Lindsey and Jacob met one summer night in 2023. My So Called Band was playing at the Vanguard in downtown Tulsa and they were both in the crowd among mutual friends. It didn’t take a formal introduction, but rather an exchange of smiles and a shared love for Oktoberfest, for them to know there was a spark between them. They sang and danced together before ending the night foolishly riding scooters through the downtown streets which left them mostly unscathed. The following weeks were filled with fun, unique, and intentional dates where the two grew closer. It was evident that their bond was genuine, and in August of 2023, they made things official. As a couple, they enjoyed traveling together, hosting game nights, appreciating a good bottle of wine, and constantly learning from each other. During the arduous process of Lindsey applying to medical school, Jacob remained a steady source of support and encouragement. So, when the time came, they celebrated her acceptance as their achievement. To this day, Lindsey insists she would not be where she is today had it not been for Jacob. In September of 2024, their adventures brought them to Greenleaf State Park for a big camping trip with their friends. After a wonderfully peaceful weekend, Jacob took Lindsey walking along the water near camp. Dressed in her finest sweatpants and rocking unbrushed hair, Lindsey was surprised to turn around and see Jacob down on one knee. Their proposal, while maybe not the most glamorous, was intimate, real, and surrounded by people they love. Their season of engagement has come with even more excitement and achievement. In December of 2024, Lindsey and Jacob took a romantic trip to Paris where they had their engagement pictures taken. For Christmas of that year, Jacob gifted Lindsey with the sweetest new addition to their household, a little dachshund named Polly Pocket. And in March of 2025, Lindsey and Jacob bought and renovated their first home! They could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of their life together to begin, and are so excited to celebrate their true love with family and friends on 6/13/2026.
