Matron of Honor
Sara and I have been best friends most of our lives, other than a few times like when I got a fishing lure stuck in her arm. We started becoming inseparable in high school and that quickly followed suit in college. We were roommates for two years officially, but I would say it was more like 3. I don't think Sara spent a single night in her dorm room her freshman year. Even though she might be younger than me, she has always been a role model. She is an awesome nurse. I can't even name her specialty because she has been a jack of all trades. She is also giving me my first brother! Sara and Buddy are getting married July 10th, 2021!
Best Man
Mitch and I were always roommates growing up. Whether it be a funny South Park reference, or movie quote, he’s always the go-to for comedic relief in my life. He once shattered a backboard dunking a basketball while playing pick-up at the Coast Guard Academy. They have yet to replace that backboard because they’re still in disbelief.
Maid of Honor
Ali, who you may know as Alan, is my corgi loving very fashionable youngest sister. She will always have you laughing with all of her little quirks and dance moves. She is a super smart and very overworked accountant. Ali and I may have argued most of our childhood but we have come a long way. She is now my confidant, my fashion advisor, and my best friend. I couldn't imagine my life without her.
Best Man
Get Jack into a room, and he gets along with the entire crowd. He and I have sincerely enjoyed each other living close during the past year while I’ve been at school, and it’s been awesome to see him grow as a father to my nephew, Jackson. Jack wasn’t always the easiest to get along with while we were growing up, but for any difficulty he brought through childhood he makes up for it tenfold in our adult lives.
Bridesmaid
Courtney was my first ever friend, and it is on ongoing argument between Gordy and I as to who has known her the longest. She is the best friend you could ever ask for, and is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. Courtney and I where roommates for two years. During that time she introduced Gordy and I, and I'll never be able to thank her enough. She taught me how to sum an excel column and I taught her what decorative hand towels were. It was basically the perfect balance, and as much as we love our fiancés I think its safe to say we will always want to be roommates again.
Best Man
Max was the “class clown” of the family, and has the ability to joke around about any given situation. He has always been there to remind me that he is an inch taller than me, but thankfully I’ve always been able to put him back in his place when his head has been getting too big. I’ve got to give him credit where it's due though, he can grow a pretty incredible mustache!
Bridesmaid
Amanda and I met in college at FSU. All it took was a very hot Tallahassee day and one awkward picture and we became lifelong friends. No matter how much time has passed we still spend every game day morning on facetime doing the warchant. We were roommates for two years, our parents are besties, and Gordy and Doug (Amanda's husband) have way too much fun together. She is an amazing dancer but will never show you. Maybe we will get lucky and can sneak a peek on the dance floor at the wedding.
Groomsman
Collis and I met our freshman year at the Coast Guard Academy while playing football together. This is a forum where I can finally say without any rebuttal that he was an absolute Godsend of a wide receiver! Our friendship grew a lot over the years after school as we were roommates down in New Orleans together while we were both stationed in Southern Louisiana. It’s hard to believe we survived some of the nights of Mardi Gras, and all that Bourbon Street had to offer, but hey…we’re still here, and he’s always been there for me.
Bridesmaid
B and I met when we were neighbors in college. We then went from neighbors to luckily roommates in Saint Petersburg. When I first met Gordy, who she would call G-dawg, B was one of the people who really pushed me to give him a chance. She knew long before I did that this would be a good idea. Bianca orders the best late night pizza, makes amazing lamb, is someone you can always count on, and accepts all my OCD habits. What more can you ask for!
Groomsman
I met Geno while stationed together on the Coast Guard Cutter MIDGETT out in Seattle. He and I spent many long hours conducting Law Enforcement boardings on drug smuggling boats out at sea, and we always had each other’s back. We once co-owned a fantasy football team together, finishing dead last in the league, to which he then fired me after the season. I’ve enjoyed being once again living a stone’s throw away from him while in South Bend as he’s up in Montague, Michigan collecting grills and crushing golf balls into Lake Michigan
Bridesmaid
Have you ever met someone and instantly knew you would be friends? This is exactly how I felt when I met Aubrey one of my first days up in South Bend. We instantly hit it off and not much has changed since. Her husband, Kevin, is in the MBA program and has also become one of Gordy's closest friends. To make it even better, their dog Rudy and Kai are best friends.
Groomsman
Kevin and I met in the MBA program at Notre Dame where he and his wife Aubrey quickly became our closest friends. Yes, he is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy (the rival academy of CGA for those who don’t know), but I promise he’s a good guy, and he’s incredibly smart. I have had the pleasure of witnessing Kev’s ability to golf, and have also had the displeasure of paying him for my losses after almost every round played together.
Bridesmaid
I met Chelsea on my first day of nursing school orientation. I remember my Mom saying "she looks normal, you should be her friend." Well, taking Mom's advice I introduced myself to Chelsea that day, and we have been friends ever since. Chelsea is a graduate of the University of Florida. However, I somehow always convinced her to wear Florida Sate stuff. I can promise you the roles where never reversed.
Groomsman
I grew up playing sports with Shook since we were kids, and I still don’t think I’ve ever called him by his first name. This guy used to leave me some insane bruises on my glove hand playing catch when he used to bring the heat with his 92mph fastball in high school. It’s been a great time this past year being able to not only hang again with a great friend, but to also get to know his fiancé Audrey too. When Shook is anywhere, he’s the life of the party!
Bridesmaid
Macy grew up in Fort Lauderdale and we went to rival high schools but we did not meet until college during sorority recruitment. I stalked Macy and knew all about her long before she even knew who I was. Macy was my little sister in Chi Omega at FSU and we were essentially inseparable all of college. She kept me on my toes and basically lived with me her entire freshman year. COVID may have cancelled her wedding, but that did not keep Macy and Armani from getting married June 27th 2020!
Groomsman
I’ve known Cam since we were kids growing up in Plymouth. He and I have always made it a point to get together whenever I was travelling through Chicago, and have consistently remained close friends throughout our lives. We’ve enjoyed a couple of St. Patty’s Days in Chicago, and many Cubs games at Wrigley Field together. Every time I fold on my diet, and pull into the drive through of those incredible golden arches, I always justify it now by saying that I’m supporting Cam since he’s working for corporate McDonalds.
Bridesmaid
Alex is my soon to be sister-in-law! She is married to Gordy's brother Jack, they have cutest little boy Jackson, and are expecting another baby May 2021. They live about 30 minutes from South Bend, so lucky for us we have gotten to spend quite a bit of time with them these past two years. Alex is a fantastic nurse, mother, wife, and friend and I am lucky to call her my sister.
Groomsman
I started becoming close friends with Ed in middle school, and even closer in high school and beyond. Ed’s positivity has helped me grow throughout life, and his encouragement to push through adversity is unmatched. I wouldn’t try to tussle with him in any capacity as his resume continues to build in the Ju Jitsu and MMA realm.
