We met on a Saturday night that was supposed to be a normal family dinner with Lindsey's parents, sister (Ashley), and brother-in-law (Danny). Lindsey lived in Bend, OR at the time and came home for a family visit. Gage worked with Danny at the jail. Well, Danny had been scheming with some of his co-workers at the jail about setting up Gage with his sister-in-law. He knew that Gage was more reserved and wouldn't likely go for a blind date, so instead he decided to trick him into thinking there would be an after work pizza gathering with co-workers. In reality, he'd tell Gage while picking up the pizzas where he was actually going. To his house, to have dinner with his wife, Lindsey, and the PARENTS...not awkward at all for a first "date" lol Meanwhile Lindsey was in her sweatpants lounge attire, rocking her niece to sleep after a feeding. No clue as to what was in the works. A surprising and awkward first meeting, turned into friendly texts, which turned into serious conversations about life goals/values/dreams/beliefs/faith, which turned into long-distance visits, which led to long-distance dating for a year and a half, which led to a proposal on Lincoln City beach, which led to buying a home in Klamath Falls and moving in together (all the animals included....2 horses, 2 cats, 1 dog, and now 6 chickens), and now planning this wedding! That's our story, short & sweet!
