I was managing a bar in downtown Denver.  One night, Derek came in with his friends. We started talking, made a plan to see each other the next night, the rest is history

How we met

Over Christmas, Derek handed me a box with pictures of baby Phoenix in it! We waited for 2 long weeks.  The day we were supposed to pick her up from the airport , I ran late at work (again).  I came home to an 8 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy with the engagement ring of my dreams attached to her collar.  When I finally noticed it, Derek was on one knee talking about how glad was he came into my bar that night, and promising to love me forever.  Let the adventure begin!
