As fate would have it, Lindsey and David met in April of 2014. They were 2 mid-20-year-olds trying to find their way. Their first date was at Johnny Rockets where David waited until Lindsey went to the bathroom to finally scarf down his meal. When Lindsey asked David why he waited to eat, he replied by memorably saying, "I don't like when people watch me eat...!" They spent the next year getting to know each other and quickly developed a special relationship built on honesty and respect. Lindsey quickly moved in with David and his family in 2015, and their relationship continued to strengthen as they forged ahead together on an unclear path. Lindsey tried many different career avenues from marketing to photography, and eventually decided to follow in her mom's footsteps and become a teacher. During her time in the graduate program, Lindsey vividly remembers David's commitment to her and her success. Lindsey graduated in May of 2018 and they moved into their 1st apartment together that summer. Their yin/yang nature became apparent during their apartment hunt - Lindsey, ready to jump at any place she saw, letting her impulsivity guide her. And David, reminding her to stay patient and wait for the right place to become available. That it did, and they moved in that June and added their lovable cat, Cheeto, to the family that August. While Lindsey was settling into her career, David was faced with some challenges and their relationship was put to the test. David was working at Planet Fitness as a trainer when gyms were shutdown due to the Covid pandemic in 2020. At this juncture, it was David's turn to carve out a path for himself. David decided to go back to school to become a Physical Therapy Assistant, motivated by his true passion for fitness and health. His determination to graduate from the program endeared Lindsey to David. She was very proud of his perseverance and accomplishment when he graduated in May, 2022 with honors. Summer's precious days were winding down and Lindsey was getting ready for her 5th year as a teacher. After spending one of her last carefree summer days in Boston with her family, Lindsey didn't think the day could get any better. But, it did! After settling in at home for the evening, David was all of a sudden down on one knee, sweetly asking her to be his bride. Lindsey couldn't contain her excitement! She grabbed the ring out of David's hand and before she knew it, David said "Wait, do you think I could be the one to put it on your finger?" Now, as they embark on this next chapter of their lives, they're excited to say "I Do" and continue challenging one another, laughing together, and loving each other every day!
