Anyone who knows us knows that we love to dance, so it should be no surprise that we went to Billy Bobs for our first date. Restless Heart was headlining (thanks for the tickets Uncle Rob!) and I was ready to put all of my practice to good use. Little did he know, Cody was the reason that I started dancing. We spun around the dance floor, learned a few new moves, and even shared our first kiss under the signature bedazzled saddle chandelier. It was a night to remember and little did we know, it would be our last first date!

It was the summer before Lindsey's last year of law school, and we were coming close to finally being done with a long distance relationship. I took a road trip to talk to her dad, then talked to Ron, and then it was time to go to the jeweler that her family had used and recommended to have her ring made. Lindsey was studying abroad in Austria, so it made it easier to organize an engagement party at Joe T Garcia's without her finding out. I invited about 50 of our closest friends and family and surprised her when we walked and they were all waiting for me to propose. She said yes!
