Let's take you back to fall of 2018. It was a hot football game. There Brett stood alone right behind Hoya nation, talking with some of his friends there when he saw some more of his friends come walking down. Little did he know that his future wife would be among that group. Brett called down to the friends, when there she was. The most beautiful person he had ever laid eyes on. He was so nervous he couldn’t even speak to her. However in Lindsey's eyes, she saw him, the most annoying and obnoxious guy. Time went on and Brett kept wondering about that girl. Brett showed up on Lindsey's snapchat quick add, and without even thinking about it, she added him. Brett then took the opportunity to talk to her, and snapped her. They spent the next week talking back and forth. He asked her on a date to the local coffee shop, and they sat there talking for a couple of hours. When it was time for them to go home, Brett (being the guy who can never take hints and is super awkward) decided instead of giving her a hug he would let her listen to how loud his car was. December 7, 2018, she agreed to be his girlfriend.

December 18, 2021, was a day they will never forget. Brett took Lindsey (with the help of her brother Seth and at the time his girlfriend, now fiancé, Morgan) to a Christmas tree farm in Cumming, GA. Brett was full of nerves, and Lindsey began to question things as he had never been so detailed in planning a date for them. Once they got to the farm, they walked around the Christmas trees and found the pigs at the farm. At the last little corner, Brett had their mutual friend set up a picture frame and an ornament that said, "Will you marry me?". Lindsey, so overjoyed, said yes. And the rest is history....
