Rick's American Cafe
The quintessential college bar - in a basement, cheap drinks, sweaty dance floor, long line. Requires bleaching nightly. This is THE place for undergrads and grad students to go out in Ann Arbor and is worth the wait. Order the shark bowl.

Allen's favorite bar. Studies show everyone who graduated after 2009 agrees.
Zingerman's Delicatessen
Ann Arbor's most famous food establishment, and for good reason - you don't want to miss this during your stay, and is a perfect place to grab some goodies to take home with you. They also own our venue and will be catering the reception!
Brown Jug Restaurant
Lindsey's favorite bar. Studies show everyone who graduated before 2009 agrees. Put another way, the Stanley Cup has never visited Charley's.

Hip, small-plate Mexican joint. Great happy hour!
Dominick's
Two words: constant buzz. Historic indoor-outdoor bar known for its libations served in Mason jars. The sangria is also a stellar choice.
Shinola Ann Arbor Store
The Ann Arbor outpost of the famous Detroit watchmaker.
Ashley's
Over 100 beers to choose from - literally a book.
Espresso Royale
There's definitely better coffee in the city, but this will flood you with memories of late nights and overcaffeination.
Pizza Bob's
Home of the original Chipati (they trademarked the name so that seems pretty legit). It's a warm pita stuffed with salad, served with a side of special Chipati sauce. Fun fact: The Michigan Daily staff (which Lindsey was on) celebrated Milkshake Thursdays with deliveries of 10+ milkshakes from here every week (yes they're delicious and yes you should get one with your Chipati).

The best (and biggest) place for University of Michigan swag.
Rod's Diner
Home of the Collider, a soft-serve sundae topped with everything you desire from pretzels to Fruit loops. See if Lindsey's photo is still on the wall - she and her roommates would come here after every hockey game.
Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger
Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Man v. Food, and Hamburger Paradise. Know your order when you get to the counter, or you will be verbally chastised.
Frita Batidos
Foodie heaven - fast Cuban street food from the former chef/owner of Eve.

Fleetwood Diner
Since the dawn of time, this greasy diner has been serving hippie hash to locals and inebriated students 24/7. Even my mom went here as a student!

Delivers pizza and chipatis until 4 a.m. - need I say more?
Kerrytown Market & Shops
From Sparrow Market (Whole Foods before Whole Foods was a thing), to whimsical gifts and stationary, to seafood and Bibimbap. A great place to spend a couple hours being a townie!
