It all began with a group of friends which came to be through working closely together at Piatti Restaurant and Bar; a fairly like-minded group of good looking, fun individuals that regularly got together for a post-shift bite and a cocktail or two. One fine July afternoon, Lindsey had sent an invite to the group to have a dinner in Old Sacramento at Joe’s Crab Shack, as her sister Lainey was serving, and the evening was forecasted to be perfect for dining on the patio above the river. Fortunately, Alden was the only one available that evening, and he responded with haste under the perception that some level of chemistry already existed between the two of them, and insisted on picking Lindsey up on the way to dinner. Although it had not initially crossed Lindsey’s mind, sometime between arriving to the restaurant, and dinner being served, Lainey had pointed out to Lindsey that this was indeed a date. The night marched on with good food, cold drinks, and a heightened sense of awareness between them that the chemistry was building by the minute. A romantic walk along the river ensued, followed by a drive to the hills that overlooked the valley; it wasn’t just a date… it was THE date. The date which began the inseparability of the two, the date which they shared their first kiss moments before parting ways for the evening, the date which began their path to falling in love and spending every moment focused on making life more for each other.
