(Brianna here): Jonathan and I have known each other since before either of us can remember. Our moms became friends through a moms of preschoolers group and our families became good friends. A few years later, my family moved to the Carolinas. My mom's side of the family live in New Hampshire where Jonathan grew up, so the Coffeys and the Lindsays would get together whenever we were visiting the area every few years. Fast forward to June of 2021. I got a text from Jonathan asking how I was doing, and we began catching up and eventually talked on FaceTime. I'm not sure what it was about that first call...how comfortable it was, how much we had to catch up on, or maybe the intrigue of Jonathan's mullet, but we both left the call feeling excited. His family had been planning to visit us in Charlotte, so about a month later we got to see each other. The whole trip was wonderful, but the best part was when we rented e-scooters downtown, and Jonathan's scooter ran out of charge so he hopped on mine...and the rest is history. We talked all through that fall and started officially dating on November 24th, 2021, when J came to visit my family for Thanksgiving. After that, we saw each other on several visits to NH, OH, TX, and NC. In October of 2022, I moved down to Austin, TX. Since I've been in Austin, we've done a lot of growing as a couple and have so enjoyed living life together in the same city. On November 17th, one week before our two-year dating anniversary, Jonathan proposed at Bull Creek park, one of my favorite places here in Austin. After he proposed, we went on a scavenger hunt around the area in a rented convertible to several spots that are meaningful to us as a couple. At each stop, J gave me a book, a note, and a clue in the form of a poem to the next stop. He planned it all so thoughtfully, and I was blown away by the way he had dreamt up the day for us. We cannot wait to join our lives together on June 30th, 2024, and we are so excited to have you there to celebrate with us! We are so thankful for the ways each of you have played a part in our stories, both individually and as a couple.
