FAQs

Question

What airport should we fly into?

Answer

All guests should fly into Heraklion International Airport (HER). It’s the closest airport to our venue and just about 20 minutes from where we’ll all be staying.

Question

Do I need a valid passport to travel to Greece?

Answer

Yes! Greece requires your passport to be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date. However, some airlines may require 6 months of validity to board your flight—so to be safe, we recommend making sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months past your return date. Better to be safe than stuck at the airport!

Question

Where is everyone staying?

Answer

All wedding events will take place at Amirandes. Guests are welcome to stay at Amirandes, at any of the nearby accommodations listed on our Travel page, or in a local Airbnb if preferred.

Question

How do I book my room at Amirandes to receive the 10% discount?

Answer

Guests planning to stay at Amirandes are encouraged to book directly through the hotel’s website between January 1, 2026 and February 28, 2026 to receive 10% off their stay. Rooms booked through the Amirandes website also include complimentary breakfast throughout your stay. To access the discounted rate, guests must first join the hotel’s Privilege Club. On the booking page, select your desired dates, then click the black “PRIVILEGE CLUB” bar at the top of the page and complete the sign-up form. Once registered, return to the booking page to log into the Privilege Club account you've just created to complete your reservation with the discount applied. We recommend booking from a computer to see all of the available options (booking from a mobile device may not show Privilege Club options). Availability is limited, and rates may increase as the wedding date approaches, so we recommend booking early if you plan to stay on property.

Question

Can I book Amirandes through AmEx, Expedia, or another travel site?

Answer

Yes—guests are welcome to book Amirandes through third-party platforms such as American Express Travel or Expedia, as you may find special rates or preferred benefits depending on your membership. Please note that discounts and perks offered through third-party sites may differ from those available when booking directly with the hotel, including the 15% Privilege Club offer. We recommend comparing options to choose what works best for you.

For outfit inspiration, please visit: https://pin.it/3vW4Y1uXx Wedding Day: The requested attire is Beach Formal. We encourage long, flowy, and colorful dresses, paired with a relaxed suit for guests wearing suits—no tie required. Lightweight fabrics such as linen are highly recommended to stay comfortable in the warm coastal setting.
