Neither of us actually remember the first time we met. It was at some point in the Fall of our first year of law school when we were both trying to get acquainted with our new normal (hundreds of pages of reading a night) and meeting so many new people that it all became a blur. We were friends for a year and half before dating, first as acquaintances, and later as closer, but still, friends. On the first day of the Spring semester of our second year, Josh was faced with a near impossible choice, choosing between sitting next to me, his future wife, or another friend. I almost lost the fight, but ultimately Josh sat next to me in Evidence class for the rest of the semester, and the rest is history. We held pinkies for the first time on a friend's couch at a Halloween party, and thought the other was too drunk to remember it (neither of us were), so we didn't talk about it until almost a month later. We still have "arguments" about who reached for the other's pinky first. We finally confessed our feelings for one another at our joint birthday party in a dingy karaoke bar in the basement of a Chinese restaurant. Everything after that was easy. From seeing Josh earn Lu Lu Bell's love and trust one treat at a time, to our first Valentine's day where Josh braved the freezing cold to sit on my porch so we could still see each other while I was sick with Covid. We cannot wait to get married and start our life together in Northern Virginia. We couldn't do this without the love and support of our family and friends, and we can't wait to have every single one of y'all join us for our big day!
