Bill and Lindsay met where they both spend the most time: at work. Managers in different departments, they got along instantly and bonded over the insanity that is Hospitality. The more they got talking, the more they realized they had in common outside of work, such as their love for musicals, red wine, and anything Disney. Spending more time together outside of work showed Bill and Lindsay how much fun they could have together, as well as their similar opinions on more serious subjects than which Disney villain has the best song (it's Scar, by the way).
Bill knew right away that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lindsay; it's no secret that he was ring shopping fairly early, and had Big Plans for the Big Question. In a fancy hotel room downtown, after seeing their favorite musical? A sparkling surprise in her stocking Christmas morning? Bill had a few ideas dancing around, but once he settled on a date he knew there was one more step to make sure everything was perfect. The evening of Thanksgiving, Bill went to Lindsay's dad to share his intentions. They talked for hours, and Mr. Stirn (but you can call him Mr. Stirn) gave Bill his blessing. Of course they had to show Mom the ring (yes, she squealed), and he shared his plan for the proposal. The parents were excited and promised to keep it a secret, but they didn't have to for long. The same night, filled with love and excitement, Bill took the ring out of his super secret hiding spot in the closet and asked Lindsay to spend the rest of her life with him. We'll let you guess what her answer was.
