We're getting married!

Lindsay and Tyrek met in May 2017 when they both started working at Ribeyes Steakhouse in Washington. For a few months, their interactions were strictly as co-workers. One summer night while out at 519 with mutual friends, Tyrek asked to buy Lindsay a drink. That night phone numbers were exchanged and their friendship began. It didn’t take long for Lindsay to catch feelings for Tyrek. If you know him then you know that is no surprise. Even though Lindsay’s feelings continued to grow they remained friends for months. They slowly started spending more and more time together outside of work which finally led Tyrek to admitting his feelings for Lindsay. On February 27, 2018, while at dinner at Cheddars Tyrek asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend. They have been inseparable since. On November 5, 2023, Tyrek planned a day date at Hanging Rock State Park because him and Lindsay had talked a few times about wanting to go hiking together. Lindsay instantly regretted mentioning that to Tyrek as soon as the hike began. Little did Lindsay know this wasn’t just any day date, Tyrek had the biggest surprise up his sleeve yet. Lindsay complained the entire way up Hanging Rock, but was speechless once they made it to the top and saw Tyrek drop to a knee. Lindsay couldn’t say Yes fast enough. She has dreamed of marrying Tyrek for years. It was truly such a special moment neither of them will ever forget. The past 7 years have been a journey filled with highs, lows and so much love. From moving in together to adopting a cat together to starting their careers together to moving across the state together to dealing with loss and grief and so much in between. They have spent most of their twenties growing together and being each other’s biggest cheerleaders. They are so excited for this next chapter together as husband and wife and cannot wait to celebrate their special day with everyone!
