AGP

Málaga (AGP) is the area's main airport. Airlines that are affordable include Transavia, Easy Jet, and Ryanair. Please keep in mind that low fare airlines will always tack on a fee for baggage, choosing seats, etc. Google Flights, Kayak, Expedia, and Skyscanner are all great websites to search for affordable flights. There are direct flights from JFK to Málaga, or you can connect through a larger cities like Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, etc. We highly discourage transferring through London. A good option would be to get a direct flight to Madrid, rent a car, and then drive down to Malaga. The drive is through the mountains and is beautiful.

Rental Car

Rental Cars at Málaga Airport

There are several different rental car companies at the Málaga airport including Avis, Budget, and Enterprise. We do suggest renting a car, as it makes it easy to travel through the area. Another cheap car rental is Del Paso Rental Car Malaga: https://www.delpasocarhire.com/. There are also taxis that can transport you to your hotel at a low fare. They recently started using Uber in Spain! Taxis are readily available throughout the area.

La Cala Hotel and Resort

Only a 5 minute drive from the wedding venue! Beautiful mountain and resort views. This is just one of several hotels in the area, so feel free to look around to what best suites you. La Cala Hotel and Resort is in close proximity to the wedding venue. The resort has a pool and pool bar, spa (90 minutes per day included in guest room), and 2 in house restaurants. This hotel tends to book quickly, so we suggest to make your arrangements a couple months in advance!

Airbnb

There are several Airbnbs and rental properties in the area! The best location to search would be in the Mijas and Calahonda area of Costa Del Sol. That will be a 5-10 minute drive from the wedding location. The city of Malaga is about a 30 minute drive from the wedding location.
