Stevin & Lindsay live less than a mile from Croatan Beach and have made it a personal goal to walk there at least once a month, so Lindsay was thrilled when Stevin suggested a sunrise stroll to the beach with their puppy, named Turtle, on Halloween. The couple set out with a backpack full of dog treats, water bottles, and an extra sweatshirt on that brisk morning. As they approached the beach, Lindsay took Turtle to the ocean’s edge and Stevin retrieved his “sweatshirt” from the backpack. Instead of pulling out a sweatshirt, he pulled out a miniature pumpkin and dropped to one knee. Inside the pumpkin contained a diamond engagement ring and Stevin asked Lindsay to be his wife on her favorite holiday. With tear-filled eyes, Lindsay said YES, immediately followed by “can I take a picture?”
