We had been messaging back and forth for a little over a month, when we finally decided to go on our first date. We decided to go to KSBar + Grill for a beer and some food. Everything was super chill and both of us felt so relaxed in each other's company that we went on a few more dates. Then a few more. And then a few more.
We had been discussing for a few months the idea of taking the next step in our relationship. We both had been certain for awhile that this was the forever type of love. Tyler decided to make a reservation at Jeff Ruby's. We had eaten there for his birthday earlier this year and it was a meal we still talk about. Our reservation was a little late, so we decided to have a few cocktails at Centro before heading over to the restaurant. On our way to Jeff Ruby's, Tyler got down on one knee in front of the old court house in Lexington and asked me to marry him. Of course it was a yes! Jeff Ruby's celebrated us so well afterward and it couldn't have been a more perfect evening.
