The party will be from 3pm to 7pm, and you can come any time. There are no set activities, just socializing and having fun! Food and drink will be provided. Weather permitting, we will be outside on the deck and in the backyard. Gifts are not expected or required. Just your presence is needed to celebrate our marriage on our 1 year anniversary!
Please send us your RSVP by September 1. As you all know, we're living in crazy world in 2020. If your plans change after your RSVP, no worries. We want you to feel comfortable and safe. Just let us know at any time.
Yes! The Cristman Barn allows pets, and we encourage it! Just note, we expect that there will be two small dogs staying at the barn.
Catering will be provided by Boneyard BBQ of Utica, NY, and there will be beer, red wine, and some non-alcoholic beverages. If you would like to bring something for yourselves outside of these options, please feel free.
Yes! If you are not staying at the barn (immediate family), then please let us know how many cars you will be bringing with your party. If you are able and feel comfortable, please carpool to the wedding. Parking for guests will be in a mowed field.
The grounds are ample for social distancing, as well as the first floor of the barn if the weather forces us inside. There will be one bathroom designated for guests not staying at the barn. Please follow whatever safety guidelines are in place in regards to Covid-19 when the time comes.
The ceremony starts at 3pm. We recommend that you plan to arrive around 2:30 to allow for any travel hiccups.
Yes, of course!
We don't have any structured events other than those taking place after the ceremony. But we will be staying with our families at the barn the whole weekend (including Sunday), so if you'd like to stop by, let us know!
We respectfully ask that you refrain from using your phone during the ceremony, including picture taking. We will have designated photographers for the day (our sister and sister-in-law!). We promise you'll be able to see those pictures as soon as they're available.
A pebble toss is an ancient Celtic tradition. Couples were often married near some sort of water source such as a lake, river or holy well, believed to be favored by the Celtic gods. Directly after the ceremony, wedding guests will be given small stones to cast into the pond (from whence they came) while making a wish for the couple’s future happiness.
Your presence at our celebration is gift enough. However, if you're feeling particularly generous, you can make a gift to our honeymoon fund. Please visit the Registry page on this site.
