In 2012-2013, I was a part of a podcast that Sam listened to a few times. I ran the social media account for the podcast. We started talking online about everything. Movies, shows, video games and our days in different parts of the country. Me in Southern California and him in Wisconsin. We spent a long while talking and being friends then eventually visited each other where he asked me to be his girlfriend in Summer 2013. December 2013, we decided we did not want to be apart anymore and NYE 2013, I bought a 1-way ticket to WI and started our lives together.

For our anniversary in 2018, we decided to do our favorite thing - go grilling and kick it lakeside at our favorite spot in the city. After grilling and having a few beers & listening to music while sunbathing, Sam acted like he was bending down to get something that fell. He got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. I screamed, shouted "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives. See you in Vegas!
