Michael and Lindsay first met online. They had both been fighting the online dating scene for a long time, when they both caved and decided to give it a try. Michael, after going on a date with a Lindsay P who was much taller than she claimed to be (and taller even than this Lindsay) was worried Lindsay Peterson was also not being truthful about her height. Lindsay, after hearing mostly from sleazy guys, was surprised that Michael actually wanted to talk to her and get to know her as a person. After some ominous foreshadowing as to what their mysterious first date would be, Michael got nervous that he had scared Lindsay away and told her, “It’s a zoo! It’s a zoo!” They hit it off from the get go. It helped that they both like to get outside and have new adventures together. It helped that they both love music. It helped that they both love joking around and laughing. It definitely helped that they both can take teasing (and dish it out as well).

Michael somehow managed to surprise Lindsay, even though she had been dropping increasingly less subtle hints that she was ready to get married. Lindsay had just gotten home from a trip to Las Vegas to meet her new baby nephew. Michael went to make breakfast. He came back, claiming that there wasn’t any food for breakfast, and all he had was this (cue the wedding ring box on a plate). He asked if Lindsay would make him the happiest man on earth by marrying him. She, of course, said yes!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! Of course, it was the only day out of two weeks that rained, but for some reason it seemed to make sense that way. We still kept it outside and had the most magical day! We wish that we could have celebrated our wedding with all of you, but because this was a destination wedding, we kept the invitations limited to just close friends and family. We want you to know that we are so grateful for all of you and the parts you each have played in our lives! We would love to hear from you and hope to be able to see all of you once things slow down after the wedding!
