This is Lindsay's favorite coffee shop. Enjoy the Venice vibes, vinyl records and delicious pastries along with your coffee of choice. A great introduction to Venice Beach.
Kyle and Lindsay's favorite local date spot. We came here to celebrate the night of our engagement.
Rent a bike at one of the many rental shops and ride the bike path towards Santa Monica, take a surf lesson, check out skaters at the skate park, take in the street art and people watch. If you stay long enough, you may see Arnold Schwarzenegger riding by on his way to Muscle Beach.
Kyle proposed on the beach across from The Waterfront. We celebrated afterwards with drinks at the Taco Bar.
At the end of Washington Street across from the Venice Pier, enjoy an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars, ranging from neighborhood classics like Hinano (grab a burger and beer - Jim Morrison used to hang out here), Venice Whaler (enjoy a margarita on the 2nd floor outdoor patio) or try some of the newer places for a cocktail - Pier House has a beautiful airy bar.
Stroll down Venice's main shopping area: don't miss gift shops Grow and Burro, restaurant favorites Gjelina, Felix, and Plant Food and Wine, and artisan ice cream at Salt and Straw (multiple vegan options available!)
Play Skeeball, ride the roller coaster, go to the Aquarium or just watch people fishing at the end of the pier
The main shopping street in Santa Monica - grab a drink at Barney's Beanery (Kyle's favorite) or lunch at Silverlake Ramen (Lindsay loves it).
Wednesdays 8am-1pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm. Kyle and Lindsay enjoy walking along the Boardwalk here from Venice. We recommend Santa Barbara pistachios (try the Hickory Smoke flavor!) or any of the seasonal produce.
Fridays 7am-11am. A Friday morning tradition, Kyle and Lindsay go here weekly. Go to Mom's Products for hummus and pita chips, California Kefir cheese for snacks and dips (try the Bavarian Cream kefir with fresh strawberries!), Weiser Farms for fresh carrots. Pro-tip: the best avocados and flower bouquets can be found two stalls down from Weiser Farms.
