Travel Note
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in a way that feels true to us: less like a traditional one-day event and more like a multi-day gathering of the people we love. More than anything, we want this weekend to feel like a big, joyful blender of our worlds: family, friends, love, laughter, adventure, and one very beautiful place to bring everyone together. Since most of our guests will be traveling no matter where we get married, we wanted to choose an environment that is special, meaningful for us and central enough for everyone. Please refer to schedule page RVPS are needed by September 22nd, including meal options (the venue needs it this early ugh)
Travel Note
Our wedding gathering will take place at Ekumal eco-lodge sanctuary in Tulum, Mexico. We have reserved the property for our group, along with space at a small hotel within walking distance so everyone is close. Our hope is for all guests to stay at the accommodations we have reserved. Because the properties have a specific number of rooms and beds, room assignments will be coordinated by us to make sure everyone fits comfortably. Accommodations are beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The property includes hot water, private bathrooms, a pool, filtered water, a yoga shala, jungle paths, and peaceful spaces to relax and explore. Price $350 USD pp Young children who fit in their parents bed are free, please not it does not include food for your child so other arrangement will need to be made or meal package can be purchased. The price includes your whole three-night stay and all meals. So not a nightly rate. Since this is an Eco Lodge, all dishes are vegetarian, made with organic local ingredients, and served buffet style.
Travel Note
This will be a multi-day celebration, with the wedding as the heart of the gathering. We are still finalizing the full schedule, but we hope to plan time for everyone to relax, connect, and enjoy Tulum together. The second day may include optional group activities or a little adventure, so keep an eye out for more details as we get closer. Nothing is meant to feel overly formal or forced. Our goal is simply to create space for everyone to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the weekend together. We also have various free activities planned! More information can be found in the schedule tab.
Travel Note
We know international travel can feel intimidating, especially if you have not been to this area before. Tulum is a popular tourist destination, and our venue is located in a private, secure setting separate from the busier areas. As with any travel destination, we recommend using common sense and planning transportation ahead of time. We highly recommend using Uber or well established pre-arranged transportation when possible. We do not recommend using random local taxis companies or individual taxi drivers you have not booked through a trusted source. As with any tourist area (we sure know this in Hawaii!) keep your valuables close and in your front pockets. The eco-lodge itself is safe, private, and secure, and once guests arrive, the weekend will be centered around the property and our reserved spaces. We have fully booked it out so it is only our party onsite. The nearest airports are the Cancun International Airport and Aeropuerto Internacional de Tulum Felipe Carrillo Puerto. They are both 1 hour away.
Travel Note
The water at the eco lodge is filtered through their own filtration system and is safe to drink! Woohoo!! However I would strongly recommend you only drink bottled water outside of the venue. Keaton and I use life straw water bottles when traveling to save plastic.
