There are plenty of hotels within about 20–30 miles from the venue. Hotels in Georgetown will be close to grocery stores, bars, parks, and other spots to explore, and hotels in Salado will be in a quieter, small-town area.
Yes! As our reception will be buffet-style, please let us know of any allergies or dietary needs ahead of time. We’ll work with our caterer to make sure you have something delicious to enjoy!
Cocktail attire is recommended. Our wedding will be held at a winery, with an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. October weather in Texas can range from warm afternoons to cooler evenings, so we suggest a light layer for after sunset.
To allow all guests to fully relax and enjoy the celebration, our wedding will be primarily adults-only. We have included a small number of younger (teenage) family members in our guest list. We kindly ask that only those named on the invitation, including plus-ones, attend.
Texas weather can be unpredictable, especially in the fall. While October is generally pleasant, temperatures can vary throughout the day. It may be warm and sunny during the afternoon and noticeably cooler after sunset. We recommend checking the forecast before your trip and bringing a light jacket or wrap for the evening, just in case.
Cell service can be limited in some areas around the venue. We recommend downloading maps, saving important information from our wedding website, and taking screenshots of directions before traveling.
Central Texas is notorious for its year-round allergy seasons. If you're prone to allergies or congestion, you may want to pack any allergy medications you typically use. We'd much rather have you enjoying the celebration than battling Texas pollen!
While it won’t affect our wedding weekend, Formula 1 will take place in Austin the following week. If you’re thinking of extending your stay, we recommend keeping this in mind because F1 weekend is notoriously the busiest time of year for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport!
