Lindsay and John met for the first time entirely by chance. Lindsay was a bridesmaid in a close friend’s wedding, while John was a last-minute guest—invited almost on a whim. As the wedding party made their way toward the stage, John couldn’t take his eyes off one of the bridesmaids—Lindsay. Watching her care for others left an impression on John. Wanting to make sure she was taken care of, too, he followed the group back to the hotel. The two ended up talking late into the night. When it was time to call it a night, John gently tucked Lindsay into bed and quietly drove home—already thinking about the unexpected connection they’d made.
