Lindsay and Eric first met through friends in 2017 and kept running into each other at different events over the next few months, always gravitating toward one another without realizing. Nearly 8 years later (their anniversary is the day after the wedding!), they’ve built a life full of love, adventure, and laughter. They’re opposites in all the right ways, water and fire, Hufflepuff and Slytherin, but together, they make it work. Lindsay keeps things grounded and pushes Eric to be the best version of himself. Eric can be a bit chaotic, but he’s sweet, hilarious, and knows when Lindsay needs a pick me up. Through it all, they love each other deeply for who they are, and for how hangry they make each other. In August 2023, they adopted Luna, a playful, energetic, sun-basking cuddlebug. Affectionately known as Luny Toons, she’s equal parts looney bin and 69% pitbull. Her contributions to their story include: sprinting down the beach, barking at the bug zapper, wrestling Kona or Reina, and leading the pack walks. While they don't allow her to sleep in the bed, she always manages to sneak into bed to cuddle by the time they wake up in the morning. She is the moon (Luna) that lights their world. Then in April 2024, Eric planned something cosmic. He and Lindsay traveled to Texas to witness the total solar eclipse. As totality set in, Eric turned to her and asked, “What shape does an eclipse make?”, Lindsay immediately replied “Diamond ring!”. Eric did not expect her to answer so quickly, even though he had been prepping her secretly to get the right answer. He was thrown off script, so he asked her the same question repeatedly, in which Lindsay stopped answering. Eventually he gathered himself and took Lindsay by the hands and asked her to marry him. Her response: "I fucking knew it!" Eric took this to mean yes. Lindsay did of course say yes, though Eric claims he doesn't remember. Eric and Lindsay are so excited to celebrate the next chapter with all the people they love most. They can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
