What is the best way to get to the Southwind Hills venue?

Answer

As advised by the Venue, navigation systems/apps frequently route through Goldsby and this is less direct and somewhat confusing. The most direct route is from I-35 exit on Highway 9 West (exit for Riverwind Casino). You will pass Riverwind and a McDonalds. Turn left (South) on SW 24th Ave (Santa Fe Ave). There is a sign for Southwind Hills on the SW corner of the intersection in a field, but there is no traffic light or stop sign there. You will continue south for about 2.5 miles. The gate for SH is on the right (west) side shortly past the stop sign on Center Rd. The ceremony is in the Forest and there are signs inside the property. Parking is ample at the ceremony and the Reception venue. The address is 468 SW 24th Avenue, Goldsby OK

What time does the wedding start and end?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5:30pm. The venue has requested guests to be seated by 5:15pm. The cocktail hour is immediately after the ceremony, followed by dinner and other festivities. The bride/groom will exit shortly after 11:30pm and the last shuttle is scheduled to leave for the hotel at midnight.

I am staying at the Holiday Inn Express in the Fritts-Koskie block. Is there a hotel shuttle to the venue?

Answer

We are providing a larger shuttle to and from the hotel from Royal Limos. A hotel shuttle is not available. Please let the front desk know that you are with the Fritts-Koskie wedding block of rooms. Parking at the venue is ample should you choose to drive your own car. Shuttles from Hotel: o Bridesmaids/Groomsmen Only – 9:30am Saturday 10/20 o Significant Others of Wedding Party and other Hotel Guests—4:30pm Saturday 10/20 Shuttles from Venue: o After Dinner o Approximately 10:30 pm o 12:00 am

Free breakfast is provided. There are a number of good restaurants in the area—please consult the “Things to Do” on our website! Several are walking distance.

Question

I am invited to the Rehearsal Dinner Friday 10/19. What do I need to know?

Answer

The dinner is 6:00pm at BlackBird GastroPub in Norman (please see Festivities Tab). We will be in touch with our out of town guests regarding transportation. Attire is dressy casual. Wedding Party/Significant Others and other out of town guests have received a separate invitation. The actual rehearsal is at the venue Saturday morning—10:00am for bridesmaids/bride and 10:30am for groomsmen/groom.
