Somehow despite growing up in neighboring towns and even attending the same high school, Edward and Lindsay didn't meet until after they had both graduated and moved out of state. While Lindsay was on winter break from college and Edward was visiting his old friends in Arizona, they met through mutual friends at Azool's bar in carefree. Lindsay had a boyfriend, but you can't let your boyfriend stop you from finding your husband! They kept in touch after that trip, but with Lindsay being back in Boston and Eddie going back to Green Bay, it was just as friends. A few more friends trips occurred before that fateful day at Johnny Rockets where Eddie asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend over a strawberry milkshake!

They woke up and Eddie had an idea to visit Devils Lake in Wisconsin. It was about a three hour drive from the house and he wanted to do a day trip to go and hike around. Lindsay could tell something was up when he curbed the car leaving McDonald's. But he swears she had no idea... Sorry Ed but Lindsay knew you a little too well after 3.5 years of dating at that point. They hiked up the tallest mountain in Devil's Lake and at the very peak overlooking the lake was where he popped the question.
