The bride's sister, April, gets all the credit. It was Thanksgiving 2016, and DJ didn't have any plans for his first holiday in San Diego. Knowing this, April invited DJ to the Ghiroli's big thanksgiving dinner. At this time, Lindsay and DJ had no idea who each other were. They immediately hit it off, and had their first date two months later watching a football game.
From the Groom... Knowing Lindsay's love for friends, food, and family; I was able to incorporate all of these into the proposal. When we were walking to our table, I grabbed Lindsay and had her spin around, when she did this she turned and saw her friends and family standing behind me. Confused is a perfect word to describe her expression. I kneeled down, recited my proposal that I had rehearsed hundreds of times, and asked her to marry me. In complete shock, she didn't hear any part of my speech except, "will you marry me". She said yes and we ate and drank the night away surrounded by people we love. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in San Diego!
