In 2019 Chris posted a Facebook status that changed everything. He was venting about the Atlanta dating scene, and Lindsay's friend Stacey happened to see the status. She thought to herself "Lindsay might really like this guy". She commented and told Chris she had a perfect single friend in mind who loved dogs as much as he did. (Stacey is still waiting on that fruit basket Chris promised...) Chris messaged Lindsay later that day, asking what kind of dog she had, and they started talking regularly. After a few phone calls, and constant texting, they decided to meet for their first date at Chris's favorite coffee shop, Peach Coffee, and go to Taki for hibachi. The next test was to introduce the fur babies, Denver, Biscuit and Gravy. They all got along well, and the rest is history!

In March 2021, Lindsay and Chris went on a trip to Chattanooga, TN with their friends Bridget and Patrick. Lindsay was left in the dark about the purpose of the trip, but excited to get away for a weekend! They went to Lookout Mountain, and when they got to the top, Chris popped the question. Before saying yes... Lindsay said "But..I was so mean to you last night!!" (It's all on video..) Of course, the answer was yes!
