On a warm July night, on the West Haven shoreline, we crossed paths at a house party. 19 years old, carefree, and not exactly looking for love at the time. After a long summer of blending friend groups, hangouts, and really getting to know each other, we went on our first "official" date to a Bridgeport Sound Tiger's hockey game- and the rest is history!

6 years ago we discovered the quaint city of Saratoga Springs, NY. We've made it our little home away from home, and have gone back every summer since- exploring new restaurants, seeing races at "The Track", and revisiting some of our favorite scenic places. On our annual visit in August of 2020, we took a walk at sunset to Congress Park (pictured above) where we have spent many afternoons strolling, sipping coffee, and taking naps under the willow trees. Besnik slowly walked me around the paths as I internally stressed out we were going to be late for our dinner reservations- hehe. At that moment he stopped in front of one of the ponds, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him!
