Maid of Honor
Caitlin is my big sister, best friend, and greatest role model! I have always looked up to Caitlin, and followed closely in her footsteps. From riding horses to following her to Western, all the way down to getting married on the same weekend!
Bridesmaid
Grace is my best friend since preschool and has been like a sister to me. We met at the Little Gingerbread House preschool, and have been pretty much inseparable ever since! We first bonded over our love for our ponies, Scout and Ariel.
Bridesmaid
Claire is Grace's little sister, but I have claimed her as my own little sister all her life! We have always bonded over soccer, horses, and all things fitness. I can always count on Lou to go for a run or to do a workout with me!
Bridesmaid
Alex has been my best friend since 4 years old! We met on the Hudson Mills playground while our two older sisters played soccer together. It wasn't enough for us to grow up together, we also followed each other to college and continued to make memories at WMU. Now I get to watch Alex be an amazing mama to her sweet little girl, Josephine.
Bridesmaid
I can't tell you exactly when Lauren and I met, but we bonded over horses sometime in elementary school and have been great friends ever since!
Bridesmaid
Dani and I grew up playing soccer together since we were 9 years old on the Dexter Storm. We became close when we both went to Western, and I convinced her to try out for the women's club soccer team, where we then met Hailey! We then lived together for 3 years at WMU!
Bridesmaid
Meg and I met competing horses against each other growing up! We didn't know each other super well, and hadn't seen each other in a few years, when we happened to run into each other during freshmen welcome week at WMU! After that I spent lots of late nights in her dorm room avoiding my roommate. We quickly became great friends, and lived together for 3 years (with Dani)!
Bridesmaid
Hailey and I met playing on the WMU women's club soccer team! Even though we are a few years apart in age, we became fast friends and spent a lot of time together on and off the field! Hailey, Dani and I drove to every practice and game together while listening to way too much Niykee Heaton.
Best Man
What can you say about your first best friend that hasn't already been said? Sam and I have shared a special bond ever since he was born. As the two oldest boys in the family, we saw ourselves as an unstoppable dynamic duo. We were unbeatable in our imaginary Arena Football League that took place in basement, with playbooks and special signals that ensured the Grand Rapids Rampage would win the championship every year. Sam is my doubles partner for life, and I truly couldn't ask for a better Best Man, or best friend, than him.
Groomsman
As the 3rd oldest, Noah took a lot of abuse from me and Sam. We always made him play goalie whenever we wanted to play hockey. Even though we'd take slapshots as hard as we could at him, he never complained. He's always been one to blaze his own trail, and I have always respected him for that. I am very excited that he has moved to the east side of the state, and I am looking forward to spending more time with him at Michigan sporting events when everything opens up again!
Groomsman
Max is the 4th oldest out of the 6 Dion boys. He exists, and will forever be known as the guy that gave me the nickname "Shorty". Max and I have always bonded over our love of all things sports, Star Wars, and Marvel. Every time a new episode drops of our favorite TV shows, we talk about them ad nauseam. I can always rely on Max to give me the recap of every F1 race or Michigan basketball/football game. He also always makes me feel better about my golf game, which is truly invaluable.
Groomsman
While Sam and I may have started the trend of picking up the trumpet in middle school, Jonah has definitely taken being a musician to a whole new level. Whether it's starting his own band, or traveling around the country with Drum Corp, he's really made a name for himself in the music world! We have always bonded over our love of music, and I have always been his biggest supporter. I am so proud of him for pursuing his passion of music as he starts college at Western Michigan later this year!
Groomsman
As the youngest of the Dion bunch, you might have thought it'd be difficult for Tucker and I to bond. However, Tucker is my go-to guy when I want to talk about video games and cars. Tucker always used to say that he wanted to start his own car company and have all of us work for him. While he may have a long way to go to reach that goal, if he does manage to start his own company I know I would happily be one of his first employees!
Groomsman
The Goose to my Maverick. Andrew and I met at Michigan Tech when we were placed in the same orientation group during Welcome Week freshman year. Having all of the same classes, and living 5 doors away from each other gave us ample time to realize we had lots of common interests. We bonded over our love of all things Star Wars, Top Gun, hockey, and basically everything else. We got along so well, in fact, that we went on to live with each other for 8 years!
Groomsman
There is a lot of debate between us on when we became best friends. Eric says it started in 3rd grade. I say it started in 5th. At this point, does it really matter? All that tells us is that we've been friends for so long we've gotten old enough to forget when it started. While our paths have certainly been very different, Eric is one of the people I know I can always rely on. Bonding over our love of sports and being competitive to the point of nearly breaking bones has turned into one of those friendships that has and will continue to stand the test of time.
Groomsman
The most recent addition to the group, Ruben and I met at Ford while I was helping to launch the Lincoln Continental. We spent A LOT of time together during that launch, and locked each other in trunks more times than we could count. Through all the highs and lows of launch, and a short stint of living together, a friendship grew that has lived on longer than the Continental itself. Ruben has always been a friend that I can rely on to give me unfiltered advice and act as a "bad" influence when I needed a push to get out of my comfort zone.
Ring Bearer
Easton is our sweet, happy, little nephew!
Flower Girl
Josephine (Joey) is Alex's daughter and has been like a niece to me since she was born. We are so excited to have sweet Joey be apart of our big day!
Officiant
How do you write something about someone you've literally known your entire life?? Eric, also known as my dad, has been one of my biggest role models since day one. He has made me the man I am today, and is the living embodiment of our family motto "Whatever you are, be a good one." When Lindsay and I were talking about who we wanted to marry us, we both agreed we wanted it to be someone we both knew well, and dad was the first person to come to mind. His combination of wit, wisdom, and (more importantly) his ability to speak in public make him by far the best choice to officiate our wedding.
