Apparently, we grew up around each other but never actually met until we were in the same YSA ward at church. (I knew his dad before I ever knew him!) Fun fact: he was the best hometeacher I ever had.

There was a point where we just knew we were going to get married. But we also knew how important it was to us to serve God first, and so we did our best with that. Shortly after I came home, we simply decided to move ahead with what we'd planned before, and then we were officially engaged! And oh my goodness we are so excited to get married!!
